Byron Bay Wedding with Casual Glamour
You may wonder how a wedding can be both laid back AND glamorous. Well, this classy, casual celebration in Byron Bay is exactly that!
This intimate event was hosted at Shutters on the Hill, a private luxury rental home with expansive panoramic views of the Byron Bay countryside, spanning all the way to the Pacific Ocean. This residence is both peaceful and stylish with beautifully maintained gardens, a stunning swimming pool and a massive covered veranda - making it an ideal space to host an intimate, destination wedding, surround but only your very closest people, the ones who matter most.
The entire earthy, monochromatic design of this event revolved around a large slab of Australian sandstone, which was sourced locally and soon found its new home in the center of our tablescape. The neutral tones of the stone not only inspired the champagne color palate, but also paired perfectly with the bride’s rose-hued, metallic Capri gown by Grace Loves Lace.
We wanted the tablescape to really stand out against the surrounding landscape and make a bold, yet inviting statement for this intimate group. Goodseed Floral incorporated pops of dark maroon anthurium and draping amaranthus for an extra unique installation design. The dried hydrangea and crisp, brown ferns complimented the darker tones of the sandstone slab.
The laid back, glam feel of this wedding is such an attainable aspiration for couples who are seeking luxury, without an atrocious price tag. The number one way to have the design you want without going over budget is sometimes just to cut your guest count.

Intimate Bohemian Wedding at Beldi Country Club
Seeking inspiration for a luxury destination wedding? Look no further.
This intimate celebration at Beldi Country Club in Marrakech, Morocco is for the adventure seeking bride who doesn’t want to spare elegance.
The venue offers both culture and convenience with Moroccan architecture, an onsite hotel and spa and elaborate manicured gardens. We chose to utilize the massive greenhouse for this intimate event and designed both the ceremony and the dinner within the towering glass walls. The lush gardens and soaring ceilings made for the most stunning surroundings. Not wanting to compete with the space, rather compliment, we kept the design minimal but memorable and unique, incorporating neutral colors and natural textures.
We love this venue because the spaces are all so individually unique, yet cohesive, providing the perfect flow for an event of any size.
Elaborate, simplistic, intimate, or large - Our team is well experienced with destination wedding planning and would love to be a part of your planning experience.

Texas Desert Wedding at The Willow House
Of all the work we’ve done over the years, we truly believe that nothing could represent our brand more accurately than this set up. Nothing says ‘Mae&Co’ more than a beautiful, unique Rue de Seine gown, with desert views, the most stunning earth toned palette and stunning florals to match.
This custom built, statement ceremony backdrop was a dream of ours and the beautiful sunset colored arches were an absolute labor of love - created in our Portland, Oregon studio and driven 2,000 miles in the back of our van, down to Terlingua, Texas.
This entire design was created with our bride’s Tucson gown from Rue de Seine in mind - the warm colors, detailed embroidering and romantic, billowing sleeves really represent that untraditional, timeless bride who does what she likes and aims to create a day that speaks to her love and inspires creativity in others.
The tablescape, an intimate setting for six, was both modern and simplistic, honoring the beauty of the surrounding desert. Organically placed natural linen napkins, wooden utensils and the perfect curve of the dinner menu are some of our favorite aspects. The unique dried floral installation, suspended above the table, was dramatic without being over bearing and the absolute perfect addition to this earthy, desert tablescape.
We’re so proud of this beautiful, unique desert wedding and the incredible team that helped make this beauty come to life. Being able to custom design spaces and build unique installations brings us so much joy and we can’t wait to share this one with you.

Babes Brunch San Diego
Female Networking Event at Flora The Venue
This classy, San Diego networking event was our sixth Babes Brunch event we’ve hosted over the past two years and our very first event held outside of the Pacific Northwest.
The special thing about Babes Brunch is that it’s not just a beautiful party. The mission behind the event is one that not only WE feel passionate about, but our guests feel every big as passionate about as well. We’re on a mission to create a community where women feel empowered to express ideas, share feelings, celebrate success, have fun and just be. We want to provide a space where hard working creatives support one another, leaving comparison and competition at the door. We strive to provide a beautiful and thoughtfully designed space where ladies can come and feel pampered and appreciated, forgetting about their agendas and to-do lists. Our main goal is to bring local industry babes together because we know how important it is to develop connections and build relationships with fellow creatives.
This evening December celebration was hosted at Flora, a brand new indoor venue in San Diego’s hip Gas Lamp District. Our guests sipped on marionberry mules and pear collins cocktails, shaken up by Wild Roots Spirits, while also pampering themselves at the braid bar by the amazing, local hair artist Styled by Jordan and creating their own herbal tea blends at the pop-up tea station by Herb+Nectar! We believe in spoiling our guests and providing them with the well deserved “me time” that they usually don’t create for themselves.
Harvest Kitchen, a local San Diego catering company served a beautiful four course dinner with a fun brunch twist. We dined on wild arugula & pomegranate salad, shrimp & grits, savory bread pudding and grilled watermelon. There’s nothing more special than sitting around a beautifully designed table and connecting with other ladies who share the same dreams, experiences and ideas!
We wanted the tablescape to be extra inviting and to feel like a big dinner party with 40 of your best friends! Each place setting had a hand lettered place card and custom info clipboard by the incredibly talented Lauren of A Fabulous Fete!
Our new, dear friend Rachel with Siren Floral Co created the most stunning, modern ceiling installation featuring painted dried stems, suspended above the two long tables. The tabletop florals were organic and artistic, with local San Diego stems arranged in an airy and simplistic fashion.
The opportunity to collaborate and connect with creatives outside of our PNW realm was such a special experience. We were met with so much excitement and encouragement… from people who knew little to none about our whole Babes Brunch mission.
Throughout the season we are constantly creating events and moments for our clients; but amidst all the emails, timeline meetings, and venue walkthroughs…we carve out time for Babes Brunch because it is a time for us to be creative, dream big designs and pamper the ladies who work so hard for their clients and businesses all throughout the year. We will continue to host Babes Brunch events throughout the year, every year, because it’s simply an event that’s worth making time for!

Lauren & Ben’s Wedding
Elegant, luxury Wedding at Alderbrook Resort
Lauren and Ben’s wedding was the perfect combination of modern, yet elegant and luxury, yet inviting. They had family and friends from all ends of the world, join them in Union, Washington to share in the joy and celebration!
Alderbrook Resort (nestled right on the water) was the perfect backdrop for all aspects of the day, including the couple’s stunning Western Ceremony. The backdrop for the ceremony, three brass arches organically overflowing with blush and nude toned blooms, was designed by Good Seed Floral. The aisle was lined with large organic arrangements, giving the appearance of a natural, wild flower garden.
Honoring their culture and families, the couple also shared a traditional Korean ceremony. With their guests closely gathered around, the MC narrated the traditions as they occurred - a series of bows to receive blessings, catching dates and chestnuts for promised fertility and a piggy back ride to demonstrate strength and love.
Dinner commenced under an open air tent, draped with sheer material and greenery, growing up the beams like vines. The guests ate at long tables, dining on local PNW cuisine and toasting with wines from the region.
The evening ended with dancing under the cafe lights - celebrating a perfect day filled with the most beautiful promises and unconditional love.

Stunning Backyard wedding in Boise, Idaho
Muted tones of rust and blush, billowing pampas grass and a swimming pool in the middle - our design for this stunning backyard wedding was inspired by the bohemian, modern vibes of beautiful Byron Bay.
Both the ceremony and reception were designed around the gorgeous pool in the father of the bride’s Boise backyard. We wanted to not only build around the pool, but also incorporate aspects into it, so we asked Good Seed Floral to adorn the corners with clusters of floating flowers, tying in all of the rust, muted blush and dusty tones.
The bride, owner of Pink by Peach, designed and created all of her own custom signage and paper goods for her big day. Each place setting was adorned with a clear acrylic place card, placed on top of an intentionally organic napkin fold. Boho chargers, gold silverware, brown crystal goblets and wild floral arrangements completed the tablescapes.
We had so much fun designing, styling and coordinating this very special day for our couple. We always jump at the chance to be creative, dream up unique designs and incorporate new ideas. If you’re interested in how Mae&Co can play a part in your big day, click here to learn more!

Have you ever seen a first look with such a wildly incredible backdrop?
Taylor and Mitch shared their wedding day first look at the stunning Taft Point in Yosemite National Park, captured by the talented Jordan Voth.
The couple continued to take advantage of all the amazing views the park has to offer and shared their personal vows, just the two of them, beside a serene lake in the forest. Their ceremony was followed by a stunning picnic tablescape, designed and styled (florals and all) by yours truly, Mae&Co Creative.

Hannah & Bradley’s Elopement
A Dreamy Elopement at Pink House Azores, Portugal
Sleeping in, enjoying a cup of coffee with your best friend and adventuring around a beautiful island in Portugal.. this was the blissful, dream of a wedding day that our sweet couple, Hannah and Bradley, shared together this past April.
Just a two hour flight from Lisbon, lies the magical island of Saõ Miguel, which is home to the infamous Pink House; an old renovated barn, surrounded by stunning gardens and fruit orchards. This was the spot that our couple both started and ended their special day, celebrating their love exactly how it should be, true to them.
“Eloping, the day held no agenda, no timeline, just an open schedule to truly experience every moment of the day, exactly as we wanted to. We woke up at noon to share a breakfast before we parted ways to get ready and write our vows in different wings of the Pink House. We only spent an hour apart, but it was enough for anticipation to rise and tears to well as we shared our first look outside our beautiful pink home - Above all else, I love that eloping gave us complete freedom to enjoy the start of our marriage in a way that was meaningful to us, unique to who we are as a couple” - Hannah
Designing and planning this elopement for Hannah and Bradley was an absolute dream! Together with Goodseed Floral, we created a unique and intimate area for the couple to return to after sharing their vows on the most romantic, foggy cliffside we could find! Bold teal, bright coral and organic, wild florals encompassed their beautiful sweetheart table - a cozy, curated corner, just for them on their most special day.

Babes Brunch Disco
Babes Brunch started out as just a fun idea.. 20 industry girls, an intimate brunch & a beautiful design. Today, Babes Brunch is an event encompassing all creative women; spoiling them and letting them unwind and connect with like minded ladies in an exquisitely designed space.
We hosted our most recent 90 person Babes event at the stunning Evergreen venue in Portland, OR and we could not be more thrilled with how it turned out!
From the fun guest attire to the disco ball photobooth backdrop, our ‘Daylight Disco’ theme was brought to life in so many ways!
For the tablescape we chose modern black chairs and beautiful, stark white tables from Vintage Meets Modern. Each setting was adorned with a tiny disco ball and custom place card and menu from Seek Paper Co. Suspended over the tables were incredible cloud like, baby’s breath installations by Brier & Ivy.
The guest pampering entailed a lash bar by Styled by Mal, as well as numerous local pop-up shops selling unique, curated items! The spoiling continued with a cotton candy machine, speciality cocktails by Public Provisions and a full dessert spread by The Hungry Hero!
The love, support and community within these events is something super special. Both, the guests that attend and the incredible vendors that contribute truly make Babes Brunch what it is.
We are so excited to be taking this amazing event on the road this year, making Babes Brunch accessible to ladies all across the country! Keep an eye out for new release dates and locations and send us a message if you think Babes Brunch should come to your city!

Babes Brunch Morocco
Babes Brunch is a special time for creative women in the industry to gather in a beautiful space to brunch, laugh, connect and encourage one another! It’s so important to us to bring together a group of inspirational, hard-working girls and spoil them the way each of them deserves!
Our November Babes Brunch at The Bindery in McMinnville, Oregon, was a dreamy, Moroccan inspired event like no other! 60 amazing, creative women joined us for an afternoon of pure pampering and fun. We wanted to provide a space where women could just show up, relax, indulge and enjoy.. something that is so rare for those working in the creative industry! Kore Herbals setup a DIY Sugar Scrub bar and with Union Wine Co. bubbles in hand, everyone lined up to snap fun group photos with Smirk Photobooth Co!
The Moroccan inspired design was brought to life by an incredible group of vendors! Bowerbird events draped the room with textured, tan fabric to give a sort of tent feel. Marisa of Revel Petals decked out the space with pampas grass, hanging tumble weeds and large dried installations, suspended over the tables! We hand selected all of the rentals from Classic Vintage and set up large lounge areas for the ladies to sit and chat with one another! The edible table runner by Savour and Graze was one of our favorite aspects of the bunch… seriously a work of art!

Emily & Adam’s Wedding
The inspiration behind this glamorous, industrial wedding, came from the couple’s desire to create a 1920’s, classy, minimal vibe.
The elegant and modern color scheme of rust tones and emerald green appeared everywhere from the couple’s custom paper goods by Seek Paper Co to the cozy corner lounge we designed using Archive Rentals. The green velvet vintage settee and sleek black leather chairs are just another way the couple’s modern, yet classic, style comes through in the design.
For the tablescape, we selected a traditional champagne coupe glass for that classic feel, but lined the tables with edgy, artistic floral centerpieces, flowing out of sleek, terra cotta vessels, created by Sarah of Selva Floral Design.
We knew we wanted their ceremony backdrop to be absolutely stunning, but also understated. We worked closely with Selva to make this amazing, muted, floral wall come to life. After the ceremony, the floral wall was repurposed to be the backdrop for the photo booth and was enjoyed by the couple and their guests for the entirety of the evening.
After the ceremony, the couple proposed a thank you toast to their family and friends in quintessential, Gatsby era style - a champagne tower stacked six coupe’s high.
We weren’t sure it was possible to create an “over the top” yet minimal vibe, but for this couple’s special day, we achieved exactly that.
